Silk, nature of the material and treatment
Silk garments are made from natural fibers that have a special nature and require careful handling. Silk is a light, delicate material that can react to friction, moisture, heat, and chemicals differently than stronger fibers.
The buyer is informed that:
Silk can wrinkle during use and storage, the surface of silk can lose some of its luster over time with normal use, friction (e.g. from bags, jewelry or belts) can cause wear and tear on the material. Such characteristics are considered normal properties of the material and not defects within the meaning of the Consumer Purchase Act.
Washing and treatment
The buyer is responsible for following the washing and care instructions provided with the garment. Improper treatment, including but not limited to: washing against instructions, using harsh detergents, drying in a dryer, ironing at too high a temperature, may cause permanent damage to the garment and such use is not covered by the warranty.
Defect and liability
A garment is considered defective under the Consumer Purchase Act if it: does not conform to the description, material content or quality that the buyer could reasonably expect, or shows manufacturing or finishing defects during normal use and proper handling. Normal wear and tear, characteristics of the material itself or damage that can be attributed to incorrect handling are not considered defects.The warranty under the Consumer Purchase Act is valid for 2 years from delivery.
Complaints
The buyer is encouraged to contact the seller as soon as possible if a defect is suspected and provide photos and a description of the use and handling of the garment. The seller evaluates each complaint individually in accordance with the law and the nature of the product.
